Default Misfire

Friday, while cranking it up for the first time this Spring, near redline the car coughed and hesitated CEL light, followed by rough idle. The code was misfire cylinder 6. After cooling down and resetting codes, the car ran fine, that is, until I cranked it up again with the same result. I swapped the coil packs between cylinders 5 & 6, and this time had cylinder 5 misfire. This indicates a coil malfunction, so I ordered a replacement OEM Bosch unit from Rockauto, which should fix the problem. This is the first issue that I've had with the car, which I've had since 2012!

Jim, hope you make out with then coil. Sometimes it's just one of those things that give out for no seen reason and you are cranking again! Mark

Just a follow up. New coil cured the problem, the car runs like a jewel again.
