Default Skreem Module Fixed!

After my Skreem module went out in my '05 Crossfire I exhausted all of my options and tried just about everything recommended on the forum, but it was clearly dead.
I towed my car into CFI Services based in New Orleans, Louisiana and they had it fixed in exactly a week for $500.
The owners know what they are doing, and have plenty of experience working on crossfires and Mercedes, and is one of the only people in the area with the right tools to do so. Unfortunately they do need the entire car to do the repair, so don't ask about sending parts in.
So, for all the crossfire owners in the South that need their Skreem fixed, I highly recommend them!

I contacted a similar shop here in Hamilton, Omtario and they said they would need the car as well. There has to be a better way and I do not mean the TTC. That's a joke and understood by only a few here.

My suspision is that when a Skreem module is replace and the new one is ordered according to the cars VIN number, that the new one will work only within a limited group of VIN numbers. Then at the time of replacement the DRB III is used to program the new module with the rest of the car's functions. Therefore the car, both keys, the new module, and a DRB III are necessary for replacement. JMHO

That's great news! I live in the Northeast and not many know how to fix a crossfire. Had my SKREEM fixed and the dealer blew the PCM out when they put the new SKREEM in. Glad to hear that some car people know what they are doing. Enjoy!
