Has anyone successfully read BAS/ESP codes
with an OBDII reader on the Crossfire?
Wheel speed sensor, Controller Antilock Brake Module stuff, Steering wheel angle sensor code? Any of them related to BAS/ESP?
Any and which ones?

I've gotten these codes several times. On the dyno, when the alternator was dying, after a spin. Usually it was a one time event and the light went out quickly. After sunday's track day I had a C1175 code that I found with no ESP/BAS light. Wheel speed sensor is possible. If was a one time error i wouldn't worry about it. If the light stays on you need a code reader that's capable of identifying exactly where the problem lies…unfortunately.

My wife's '04 has the BAS/ESP light on now. It's in the shop and they're trying to troubleshoot, but apparently is not throwing any codes whatsoever. Sounds like they've tried both OBD as well as the Mercedes diagnostic tool.
Anybody know what could cause this? Also, the brake pedal has been mushy for a while, can't help but to wonder if that's associated with the BAS/ESP? I've tried all the simple fixes: new battery, steering column switch reset, brake light switch must work because the brake lights work. Could a burnt out turn signal cause this??
Thanks for any help!

Not driving mine and letting the battery run down has caused a light to come on. But the old turning the steering lock to lock has always worked to reset it.
Yea, hers doesn't get driven much either; the old battery was dead for a couple of months. I tried the steering wheel trick a few times with no luck.
You might want to start a new thread to get more responses to your post. This one is asking if anyone has read the codes with OBDII
