Default Wheel widening, About to start on my SRT

Read allot posts, measured and CAD'd a few....

thoughts?:

widen rear stock wheels 1.5" to the inside
305/30 tire
20mm spacer.

leave fronts alone

Widen by welding in a 1.5" spacer?
There have been reports already of wheels failing due to the large unsupported overhang.

good information. Weldcrafts minimum adder is 1" and i was just going on another post here about tireracks recommended width for a 305.

ive always felt that the crossfire (and C5 vette) was done wrong by the narrow rear tires. im sure the engineers did what was the best mix of "correct and necessary" but....

22mm offset is defnitely not my friend here, but stock look is a parameter of the build.
