This is the area for trouble with the website itself, not technical questions about our cars.

But to answer your question, I have learned, over the 39 years I've been driving and working on my own car that changing plugs and NOT wires very often turns into drama and trouble.

So, change your plugs AND wires.

Order this:
NeedsWings Performance Products. Ignition Kit m112

For an SRT, order this:
NeedsWings Performance Products. Ignition Kit m112K

Pizzaguy, you can tell me if you disagree, but I think spark plug wires have come a LONG way during the years you've been driving. Today's wires are shorter, less likely to get damaged by oil and heat, and last much longer.

Is there a special reason for the OEM wires? Can't you make your own? Is the metal ends for radio suppression? Just wondering out loud???

Spark plug and cable materials plus electronic ignition has greatly added to the longevity of these parts.
Why change them if there is nothing wrong? Change for change sake is a waste of money.

The metal ends give you something to grab to pull the wires off the plugs; use the actual MB v6 spark plug boot removal tool - it's so easy. They may help protect the wire ends from heat and contamination. The OEM wires are expensive, but good.

I got new plugs at 100,000 miles and our very own expert Rudy who works for Mercedes Benz as a certified mechanic told me our OEM wires are as good as most replacements out there so if they have no cracks or burnt places on them to keep them.
He inspected mine for me and saw no reason for me to replace them

I disagree with you, Gary and 100/80.

I *gasp* even disagree with Rudy!
