I am in the UK and looking to this next year. I know most ppl on here are on Facebook so i don't know how much response you will get. I am asking around about decatting my 04 manual coupe and will post the answers. I have a performance back box, sounds glorious, is relatively faster than other standard ones i drove. I am going for a re-map as well. I plan to keep the car as it is good fun but i want a little more power as i always need to go faster. Only UK laws i know are national speed limit is 70mph. Of course, i would never go three figures on our UK roads....

Ask the guys on facebook....UK Crossfire Owners. it has 410 members and most are "local" to you. Im sure some have done it before with no problems. This is still the best site for all sorts of information and ideas. Great people here.

I don't know UK laws, but qurious, you planning on just removing rear cats or front and rear cats?
I removed rear cats and installed MF dual in/out and duals back with quad tip, sound alot better and placement and angles on pipes got ride of the drone.
I like the sound.

I've heard you could fail the MOT and the tester will fail if they know you removed them.

As an alternative you could swap out the single 2.25 inch for dual 3 inch pipes from the second CATS and fit a dual in dual out exhaust (I used a Flow Master Super 44) it gave me the tone I was after after and possibly some gains.

It might be what you're after or not.
