Car cranks, stumbles for a second, then dies
This is a new on to me. Full story:
Left the house and stopped for gas. topped off the tank with premium and drove on down the road. Went approx 2 miles and car died. Let car sit about 2 hours and it finally restarted. I attempted to start the car several times, I can crank the car over and it MAY start, but with a stumble so bad, you cant press the throttle. I left it sit for 2 hours and it started and drove approx 2 miles before it did the same stumble thing again.
Is this the dreaded crank position sensor issue? I hate to bring it to a mechanic for a simple parts swap
Thank in advance

Thanks man, I been reading the threads going back, but I have not really dug deep in the sensor issues as of yet. Guess it bit me in the rear..
Check engine light on?
Check fault codes as the CPS will set a code.
Can you hear the fuel pump run for 2 seconds when you turn the key to the ON position?

Everything good now. It was the CPS. My 07 has a bracket that impeded access to the E8 bolt.
Removed the steel bracket that appears to be nothing more than a debris/splash shield.
took longer to keep wiping the sweat from my forehead in the Florida sun that it did overall to change the part.
Quick note to anyone doing this, when done, take the time to clean out leaves and crud from the little rubber boot above. Your Crossfire will love you for it..
