Default Phantom Limp Mode (HELP)

The car starts up fine, put it in drive and it goes up to about 40 however the revs go up and I can’t change gears (Auto trans) turn if off and on again and I can select gears but if I put my foot down then I’m right back at square one.

There are no warning lights and I’ve even had a shop look at it but no codes came up.

This seems to have been discussed in some form or the other on the forum but no answers or tangible causes have been given.

Any help will do.

Most likely you need to replace the conductor plate in the transmission.
Sounds like an intermittent speed sensor, and that's on the conductor plate.

Get the error codes read, why guess if the error can be specifically identified.
It could be just a solenoid on the electrical plate at fault.

I would not call it a phantom limp mode, it is limp mode. I had it on my 300 and it was touchy and then it just stayed in 2nd gear, making it a slow journey to the dealer as it was still under warranty. The 300 had the same basic transmission as the Crossfire.

Got the following codes. Any ideas what the solution might be.
I’m thinking of swapping out the conductor plate and go from there.

Any suggestions welcome.

Is that (speed sensor) an easy fix and does anyone k ow best place to source one?

Or, is the speed sensor and the coductor plate the same thing.

Thanks

Replacing the conductor plate that carries the speed sensors your error code shows is the main repair, the sensors themselves can be replaced but needs special tools and soldering. Replacing the 13pin connector at the same time is recommended.

Replacing the 13pin connector at the same time is recommended.

Also new fluid and filter.

Conductor plate in hand, 13 pin connector on its way.

Do the codes need to be cleared once parts replaced ?

Now to find some capable of doing the work.

Thanks a million for your feedback

Usually, there are no codes to be cleared.
Are you sure you are not capable ?
It's not really that difficult of a job ( can be done with car up on jack stands ), but much easier if you have access to a lift.

I had the conductor plate and the connector changed, also did the fluid and filter, that fixed the problem and no codes recorded afterwards so I’m a happy camper again.
