Default Ecu tune

Has anyone used Eurochsrged to have their ECU tuned? They want $300 and that includes their in-house Euroflash software so I’m guessing it’s something I do from home? I think that speed innovation is like $600 and you send them the item and they rebuild it or something like that. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated

Many forum members, including myself have the EC tune, $300 is a bargain price for it.
Yes, you do it at home with your laptop and the cable they send along with the PC program.
You first extract your current PCM values into a file which you email to them, they then turn
around with a tune file which you then install.

Hmmmm...Computers are not my friend lol....hope it’s not to complicated! I know with speed innovative you send to them directly and I guess that actually work and add to the the board itself and it’s $599....
just curiousvifvits the same thing or different. They claim a gain of 30+hp and 25+ in torque...Decisions decisions.

Mailing in the ECU is also an option at EuroCharged. The tune there is also normally $599,
so like I said you would be getting it half price.

Their site says $300 for the SRT and $600 for the NA. Only 18 pony’s for the SRT though if you say it has 350 hp to start. I doubt you would notice that increase too often.

I have had EuroCharged. Tune for years plus the sprint booster , if you got somebody ( Family ,Friends) that good with a laptop , it won't take very long to do , If your going to spend 600 bucks see if somebody will put it up on a Dyno and tune it , you can get it dialed in little better that way ,

Normal day to day driving would not show much difference.

So I had the ECU Tune done and the sprint buster installed. I can say there is quiet a bit of difference but I have yet to have it set up on a dyno to tune it. Do you think that is necessary?

I've done all three and pleased with the results. I found it to be necessary to ensure the best performance with what I have.

Fwesh, could you please edit (delete all characters) in your reply here and post this question in your own Thread under 'Technical' and 'Engine, Exhaust, Transmission and Differential'? This thread is about an ECU (engine control unit) tune. Thank you.

Here we have the dyno charts from Valks coupe.

Before the ECU tune. 215 hp stock so there are losses of 45 hp through the drivetrain losses.

Valks chart after the dyno tune.
Let's say a gain of 18 hp. If we say we have a loss of 45 hp across the board then we have 233 hp at the crank.
I think the max hp I have seen on a chart here is 193 hp after the tune.

Dave, reading the charts posted, I am sorry BUT I don't understand the correlation. Top chart, the dotted line and solid line same scale as bottom scale but they don't match the lower chart that indicates both before tune and after tune (or do they?). Restate please?

Maybe Valk or someone else will explain. The most I have seen is 193 hp, although someone was saying theirs was over 200hp. That figure was doubted by some as no chart was shown.
I do not think a CAI was fitted at the time.
