How to jack up the rear.
Since my front is jacked up, I'd like to jack up the rear to hopefully locate and 'fix' a fairly loud bang when going over fairly hard bumps. Getting the front was a problem enough since I have two aluminum jacks. One three ton the other about one ton (barely makes it). Even with the front up pretty high I can't locate any area in the rear which could be safely used as a jacking point.
Of course I need to leave the side jacking points free to get my jacks under.
If it requires another three ton jack so be it.

I have the rear of the car up, but nothing seems to want to move. The sound I get is the sound of something metal lifting and coming immediately back down.
Has anyone out there had any sounds like that from the rear? This is on my SRT-6. The Ltd. (which I'll be selling soon) has never made any clanks in the rear. And it seems to be getting worse.
I've not removed any of the plastic panels but can't believe if there is anything behind them to clank.

Have you checked the mounts behind and high up the rear wheels on the frame (I think it is a suspension item or the mount for the stabilizer bar?)? There has been a few posts that highlight the ruptured welds on this part/location. Members, can you shed some light on this?
