I took the drain plug out and thus socket screw went kerplunk right into my drain pan?! Anyone have an idea of where this would come from? Why would it seem like it fell out of my gearbox 😭

Reason: Title typo
Yepp, thought about other possibilities like it having beenresting on the bar below the drain bolt, but this screw has no corrosion so... Slim chance of that one. It was a little low i got about 1.2L out so maybe this screw has to do with leak? Just though of that ome haha. I filled it with 1.6L and drove about 30 miles on the highway last night it shifts smoother for sure.
Edit: i also picked it up with the drain plug and it is just ferrous enough to hang out for a second and then fall off. When the drain plug came off it stayed on my socket and the screw was the kerplunk.
I've owned it for 5000 miles and there is 102500 on it. Previous is the only other owner and it seems like they took care of it alright. Maybe if you put a screw on the plug magnet it will attract more pieces of metal?? Just grasping for straws at this point hahaha
