Hey. Y'all I was browsing around Some classifieds and found an ihi supercharger off of an srt6 for sale for VERY cheap. I have yet to go inspect the unit but I wanted to ask what I should be looking for To be sure that its not junk.
I know about spinning the shaft to feel the bearings and Checking the impellers to make sure they arent slapping each other . but is there anything specific to this supercharger I should be aware of? Any Suggestions

 

This may seem like a dumb question but do you have an SRT-6? Do you need a new supercharger?

 

no my crossfire is an NA coup.

I'm not planning on using this on my NA motor. Its for something different.
To be honest my plan is to goink that merc engine out of my crossfire and put in a 4.3 liter lv3 v6 from a truck. And then fab up a intake manifold and boost it with this cheapo supercharger.

It would be about the same weight but should be good for a bunch more hp and style points.

Also How do I know whats stock and what would be a different size from oem.
Are aftermarket pulleys going to have companys. Logos all over them or is it more subtle?
