We have a robin trying to build a nest on top of a porch light with a conical top. You have to give him full marks for perseverance.



This is the result.



Not being to observant he misses the beautifully built one owner nest three feet away.



Maybe we are all guilty of this at some point, tunnel vision. We cannot see the woods for the trees.
Let’s hope Phil and ourselves do not see life through our eyes like this one fixated robin does.

Imagine our shock a few years ago when we opened our door and came face to face with a robin sitting on her eggs. We opened that door as little as possible and she remained quite calm and never panicked. She raised three babies successfully and soon they were gone.
