Used parts - keep or pitch?
I had a good bit of maintenance done recently on our 2005 roadster (40K+ miles) and requested the used parts be returned. The "old" belt looks like new (no signs of any wear) and the spark plugs also appear unworn (a bit dirty, but in appearance, unworn). Should I pitch or ....?
I'd keep the belt as a spare in case of a roadside emergency, let's hope you don't have to use it. I think you have changed the plugs a good bit early. I changed mine at 100K miles (160k kms) and they still looked good, no problems with them. I also changed my plug wires when I did the plugs.
You are likely correct about my being too early, but it's a done deal. Think I'll hang on to both belt and plugs (too good looking to pitch). And yes, I had the plug wires replaced as well (but I have already pitched them).

Keep the belt in the hatch under the mat incase for a roadside problem.
the plugs are good to change early. When left in for a long time they can be quite difficult to remove. It’s actually not a bad idea at this point for low mileage cars to just remove them put some antisieze on them and put them back in.
