Smile Re: Header source

i would gladly give up my car for a few weeks or even a few months if that is what it took to get this problem taken care of. heck any other company that need a car for measurements or specs to build us some parts/accessories can use mine if they like. i haven't been able to drive it in 6 months anyways. mine is a 2004 coupe with the auto-stick. there are only 2 problems. the first one is that my car is in oklahoma and there isn't any way for me to get it to where ever it would need to go. most of the companies we will be dealing with will be located in cali. the second problem is that i am not in oklahoma with it right now. i am currently in korea. so one of you would have to get in touch with the companies and set everything up and then email me with what they say. if they are willing to pick it up then there is no problem. i'll just let my mom know that someone is coming to pick up the car for a while and to make sure and get their name and company's info. then the only real problem would be how much it would actually cost me. if any of you have a solution to any of these problem let me know. i'm happy to help our cause. my email is: rollingthndr23@yahoo.com.

They will then fab up the mounting plates. Once those are complete they will need a car for ~2 weeks. If one of you guys are interested let me know. I will contact the shop, give them a heads up and then make sure the two parties talk.
i live about a half hour from irvine, i'd be willing to do that.

X'ed the shop is: http://www.hytechexhaust.com/. The owner is John just give him a call to set everything up. It has been awhile since I talked with him about the project. It fell through when the last car I had arranged for him pulled out at the last minute. The first session should last a couple of hours during which they will take all the measurements and calculate whether or not the gains will be worth building the headers or not. If it is they will go ahead and quote you price. They will then build the custom mounting flanges and be ready for you to bring the car back in a couple of weeks for building the headers.

Contact info is:

i don't think they will get gains near that of the eclipse but if the quality is as good as on the eclipse... count me in as a buyer for their system... this car needs proper headers and a better exhaust system...

The quality of their work is first rate. They will not disappoint either in performance or build quality.

Too bad no one is going to follow through on the headers.

There is a small hope that Super Sprint will modify their headers to fit our cars.

Ditto: I even went so far as to fly to Texas to visit them at their shop. They don't even mfg. the product, they just rep it from a company in Italy and have no control. Give-up on them. The current product they have will fit the car with minor adjustments, but is not anywhere worth the $2,300+ that they want.

I talked with the SuperSprint guys at SEMA and it was very clear they had no interest in the market.

One of the SLK guys got in touch with SuperSprint (Italy I think) and they swore up and down the C32 headers would fit the SLK. Then when offered proof they said they would look into it.

Whatever happened with HotShot?

The flanges at the manifold fit, but the rest of the header is not angled correctly for the Crossfire. I bought them then had to return them.

Too bad. I did not even know they actually produced any.
