here is the response from Evo Sport:

Thank you for your interest in evosport!

Unfortunately, the Crossfire exhaust manifold is identical to the

Mercedes-Benz SLK32, not the C32. The SLK and C-Class header fitment are

different and we only offer C32 application at this time. We have had some

SLK and some Crossfire interest, however, and are evaluating offering a

header for those cars. Perhaps if we had enough serious interest from people

on your forum, it may assist us in making a decision sooner than later.

Find enough people that will actually spend money...and own our Cars, or SLK's. Good Luck man. There still trying for an ECU mod Price Break. That has been going on for months. It would be nice to see it happen.

it probably won't happen. that's a companies way of saying they don't want to do something. its happened over and over with various companies dealing with potential crossfire mods. but if you can generate the interest, more power to you.

I have talked with Evo in the past on the headers. Last discussion I had with them was that they would make me a header at a good price if I was able to leave my car with them for ~2 weeks for fitment. They would then of course take this research and offer a header to the market.

Not to change the subject, but what about your intake saskin? I PM'ed you explaining that I would buy one and run the dyno time for it provided an AWD dyno works, but you haven't gotten back to me with a price or any details.

You volunteering to have them come pick your car up and keep it for a couple of weeks to build headers? Let me know I will see about getting everything arranged.

Well It would be cool, but the thing that would make it kind of pointless to do. Is there is no way to test it...My car still doesn't run dudes. If ya'll want to fix my car, I guess I could still give it up for a couple of weeks. Even though it would kill me to know that the car runs & I could drive it & not having it for a substantial amount of time. Man that would be so hard, but if everyone was willing to sacrifice. I can equally match the sacrifice. I mean heck, if already come this far and stirred it up with some Intakes. I think it could be a kick in the as* to again put my car on the line, at the chance that other owners might one day want to do that particular Mod to there Car.

Its kind of cool to think that I was the one who brought it to the people who have been searching for that Mod. And knowing that once its out there it almost forces other manufactures to take notice of how Strong, & Determined this Small community of owners really are! A Bunch of individuals trying to achieve these Performance Mod Goals, probably won't get the Job Done. But if we stick together like a family or a team...There is a lot of power in numbers.

In all families, there is arguments, hurt feelings, etc. There is also the flip side of that. There is also the side of "Well we may not all get along all the time..." But if an outsider challenges one of your siblings, what is your automatic response or action...You protect, defend, or simply tell that challenger that "you" are the "only one allowed" to kick as*es in this family.

I guess what I am getting at is, rather then putting each others efforts or ideas down. We all band together to kick down some doors, and get these cars & there owners the recognition they all deserve. Lets all make an effort to help support others modification wants, and lets make those wants come to be...Regardless if you want it or not. Do it because otherwise that person may never ever get that mod offered to them, & that sux. I feel that I deserver the same things available to me (that everyone else gets to participate in), regardless of the emblem on the hood.

But that's just how I feel about it.

How do you feel about that?

I would agree with your sentiments. I visit a couple of other boards (none are crossfire boards) and except for one or two individuals, no matter how heated and argument becomes, everyone still pulls together and offers useful advice and support when needed. Message boards like this don't work well... if people either hold grudges or take their toys and leave when there is a disagreement.

Saskins what's wrong with your car?

SRT-6...
I actually posted a Thread for a Plea for assistance in getting me the parts I need to fix my car and get it back to running condition. It's in the coupe page. Andrew did what he could do, and that's very appreciated. But I was hoping there would be more people out there that could/or/would offer up (I don't want to say it, but I think of anything else) "better" deal's or opportunities.

All I am saying about sticking together. Is I think we should show each other support, by all participating in others efforts to persuade manufactures to produce which ever Parts or Accessories they are really wanting to see in or on there car. I think support is more then just kind, or inspirational words or advice. I believe its in the actions we take as people.

As for the Actions I took to show my support for this small community of Crossfire Owners. Well obviously my Induction Systems...But I am also in the Process of trying to link up with an investor(s) that is as excited and as enthusiastic as I am about these cars. My plan is to kick down as may doors as I can and either produce the items myself, or have enough clout to get other manufacturers to produce them. I mean since the car is really a Mercedes & they are not really wanting to acknowledge that it is one of there own. And Chrysler really pushes the Mopar/Hemi or SRT (Non Euro) aftermarket parts. That kind of just leaves us hanging in limbo, with no were really to go.

So what the heck, I'll not carry it, but actually Light a Torch for the Crossfire Community.
I would like to be able to produce a set of headers for us, if no one else out there is willing to do it for us. And I am not saying I want to do this for selfish reasons. Its not always about money. I honestly would really like to give people a choice in what they want their car to be. Or maybe a better way to say it, is ...give everyone a chance at a variety of choices. Instead of 1 or 2, or in a lot of cases, No choices. I would strive to have 3/or/4 choices in both categories of Part/Accessories.

We have a pretty cool group of people and I believe we all deserve more. So I have a meeting in Woodland Hills, Ca. on Tues, to meet with a really good friend of "Tony Robins", ya the guy with the really big teeth who has those self help tapes.
Dude that guy has money...wow I was talking with Joe (Tony's friend/potential investor) He said, it cost an individual over $1200.00 dollars for a day & a half seminar. On average Tony will have 700 - 900 people, with people on the list waiting in each of his Seminars. Joe also told me that, Tony could careless about the money...Tony found his passion in life, and it is to help others learn how to help themselves. I have a lot of respect for that man.

X'ed where are you located? There is a fantastic shop in Irvine, CA if anyone is close enough and can drop of their car. The first step with this shop is to take the car in for ~4 hours where they do all the measurements & calculations to determine if it is worth pursuing headers and provide an estimate. They will then fab up the mounting plates. Once those are complete they will need a car for ~2 weeks. If one of you guys are interested let me know. I will contact the shop, give them a heads up and then make sure the two parties talk.
