Default Fumoto quick change oil drain valve

I've used Fumoto valves on a number of other vehicles over the years, I think they're an excellent way to make oil changes easier. BUT, I ordered one a few months ago in anticipation of my next oil change on the Crossfire. According to their website F106 is the correct part. It doesn't fit...the oil pan has a reinforcing rib in the way, which prevents screwing the valve into the pan. See the attached pics. Fumoto does make an adjustable position valve (F106SX) that has a banjo bolt style setup that I think may work. I'll check with Fumoto, but I thought I'd throw this out there in case others are considering the F106 valve.
