Default Rev Limiter !!!

Ok kids, here's the official word from DC... The rev. limiter is achieved by a fuel cut-off at 6,000 rpm. It is actuated by the ECU in conjunction with the FMU.

Bypassing these control modules would take a "rocket scientist".

Does anyone have the program and eprom for the ECU ?

On the SRT-6 Renntech increases the rev limit by 200 rpm. They maybe willing to set the limit higher if you contact them.

My Upsolute chip advertised raising the limiter to 6,200, although it would indicate nearly 6,400 before cutting out.

I am only positive on the SRT-6. RENNtech may increase the limit on all auto's I am just not sure. Although it would only take a minute to confirm on their site.

X'ed, mine was a manual. The guy would have removed the 155 mph limit too but he would not provide a guarantee, so I didn't bother with that.

now i am thinking... that my tach's calibration is faulty... because my tach needle lives well above 6,000... often.

i will get my XF to a dyno to check all the specs...
