I have been tuning cars for sometime now, and if you have a stock car (no matter what kind of car) and want a chip or some other type of tuning (depending on how the car is tuned) done to it and you are expecting a 10-15 RWHP > you are not going to get it. Tuning a stock car is not going to give you a noticeable gain. Now if your going to add a blower, turbo, cam heads, and headers > you must tune! HP is not cheap and never has been.

Tuning a stock car > lean out a/f ratio, maybe changing timing around, and some other charges. The cars run great stock and if you want to tune them > don't expect to go tearing down the road...

Not knocking the tune or price > all need to understand that you will not see HP from filters and tunes...springs either...well maybe 5 HP...

That is my .02 cents and I know where I can stick it!

I agree, i've been debating getting the whole chip idea, but I want some proof first. I don't expect an outrageous gain, but do expect some sort of improvement. Since there is no proven intake or exhaust for our cars, the chip is our only hope.

So when do we have to get it tuned by if we purchase through the group purchase? If we have mods is it going to be a different tune?

The longer they can't show a dyno the more I am doubting their product! I've had mine chipped last February 2004 and they should have enough money now to pay for a $150 dyno!

Maybe I could say it now that putting an SLK320 chip programming in my XFIREX is a rip off! You'll be lucky to have any gains in your car!

I'd like to wrap them up within 30 days of payment. The chip works fine with basic mods like cat-back, free-flow air filters, etc. the ECU can adapt to most of these. Mods like headers, cams, or other things may require a different mapping. If you have a dyno plot of your car on the stock SW with the mods (with AFR chart) I can submit it at the time of tuning so they could revise the file as needed. MAF plots before/after your bolt-ons would also be helpful.

If a SLK320 has the same motor and the same EXACT factory code, what would the issue be? If there was any nuance between the two cars they would at minimum install different software.

There are numerous ECU codes for the crossfire, and within those ECUs there are numerous versions of software. Some match up with the SLK320, most do not. We verify what is installed on each car and install the proper tuned file. We are not stuffing "random" SLK files into your ECU.

There is a 30-day money back satisfaction guarantee on the tuning.

I'm in as long as I can get it done on the east coast near D.C., MD or VA.

There was a Dyno chart on here somewhere of a before and after. It showed a 15-18 hp gain, can't find it now.

So is this good for a dyno tune or just a simple remap? I'll be more then happy to pay the 350 and go to the boston location (i live in jersey) to get a dyno tune and post the graph. Will this be supported?

Haha, 15-18 hp from a chip?!?! Maybe if we had a s/c or turbo. I'm hoping 5-8 hp, that would be nice. I'm surprised none of the members on this forum who have been chipped weather it be from upsolute or other companies, have not done before and after dynos. That's where the real proof comes from.

Upsolute remaps the ECU... no dyno tune.

right, it was done with a g-meter device...which if properly set up is just as accurate if not moreso as the car is moving in actual conditions (airflow, temps, etc.) I'd like to see the raw data from his runs...the "whp" so to say, I know he scaled them by a % to approximate driveline loss so his plots show "Crank" hp. Looks to be well done IMO.

BTW I'm not ignoring the dyno plot issue, I've asked around and nobody has one...so I have nothing to post.

So then they don't have a dyno at their facility? If that's the case then I'm out this all seems like a waste of time anyway.

exactly...that's the point...if they are doing these programs without dynos then they are selling ABsolute crap...there has to be a dyno, a real dyno, if you guys are tuning for real. and a gmeter is "moreso" accurate than a real dyno, AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! your too funny man...

Please re-read my FIRST POST, the tuning process is described IN DETAIL.
