forget about cd changers
Hi guys, well for some time i have been looking at fitting a CD changer. Until one of the guys at work brought his ipod in what a tool that is so i got a 60gb video ipod and the in car transmitter (£14). I thought at that price it would be crap but to my amazement its brill. So solve your music problems buy one, well recommended. Word of warning the transmitters are not strictly legal in uk.
nothing to install. it just plugs into the cig lighter. power point transmits the radio signal tune the radio to it and you are away even charges the ipod whilst in use loads of them on ebay.
yep they are brill. i have had one for 6 months or so, got the transmitter in the U S A.
the reason they are illegal is because when you are in a traffic jam and the guys behind and in front, if tuned to near the channel you are tuned to they have to listen to the music that you have on.
hope its country an western.

Siataukreg would you please give me some info on the transmitter: make, model no etc as since first reading this post I have also bought an ipod but the only transmitter I can find at Maplins requires fitting and I don't want to do that.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Bunni . . .
If you're still looking for one of these (and you're probably not as it was a few months since your post - perhaps someone else is, though!) simply type "fm transmitter" into the eBay search and you'll find shed loads of them . . . 5,787 today, to be exact!

Steve,
I got an iTrip from Griffin, cost about £30 from Dixons.
I picked a free channel which works great in the North West but if I travel around the country I have to search about a bit for another.
I'm very happy with it and I even recommended it to a couple of friends and I understand that they are happy also.
