Service Costs

Wife has a Yellow 2004 Roadster just rung my local dealer in Bury for the cars 4th Service.
Car has done 22000 they have quoted me £540.00 said car will need Plugs filters ect.
Seems abit expensive.
does the car really need plugs after 4 years.

Hi , Yea i have been quoted about the same , but i had the oil & filter change just after buying the car last Nov , I have just cleaned the air filters ( & will be going k&n intakes very soon ) .so its just the fuel filter ( £50) & the plugs on a 4 year old car thats done 21k , But the car starts & runs like a dream . so i think i will get my local man to do the fuel filter & think about the plug in about another 20k . they told me its not the mileage it the age of the plugs .
I got my Xfire serviced about 4 weeks ago...48K on the clock and the service cost £270...some more info on servicing at this link

had mine 4 years and just had its 2nd service at 18000 miles.OLDS YEOVIL.
'A' type service as per schedule £173.76
plugs should last 50k+++ no problem
