Default Soft top clean

I need to give the fabric roof a good clean for the winter. It was replced about three years ago so its not too bad but there is a general 'green' tinge. I have never before cleaned it with a brush or touched it with any car polish or shampoo. I am thinking maybe a good nail brushing may dislodge the growth or possibly even a pressure washing. Any definite don'ts or good solutions would be appreciated

Hi I went to autogeeks and bought their cloth convertible products from them called Raggtop. It's got the cleaner and a like shoeshine brush made with horsehair. And then a sealer spray that makes it more waterproof and helps fight the UV fading. Now they even have a video on their site as to how to do all parts of this process. And I bought this kit but haven't even tried it yet. My 05 top is original and in super good shape and really black in color. I only got the car a month ago with 25k mi and it had mostly been garaged.

I called those gurus at autogeek and they said this kit is good for this type of situation/

Thanks both of you but I really need to know if as a simple clean you would advise for or against pressure washing and soapy water. Also any care products need to be accessible in the uk
Cheers

do not pressure wash !
soft bristle brush and baby shampoo ( no tears - neutral PH ).
Then treat with your choice of fabric protection.

The top on my 06 was in very good shape, but a bit dirty. I went thru autogeek and ordered the 303 cleaner and protectant....came with the horsehair brush. Followed the instructions the top came out really clean...like new. The 303 protectant is in a pump spray type container. It was easy and quick to apply. That was in early July. It's been three months and today's rain just beads up. Top stays clean between washings too....like the dirt just can't attach very well. I figure it's a good way to prolong the life of the top. From reading reviews it sounds like Raggtop is also a good product....main difference...their protectant is in aerosol.
