Default Dash Color... Can it be changed?

I was interested in changing the color of the dash lights to something other than green. After doing some searching it seemed that there was a lot of people under the assumption that was 100's of LED's that gave the dash its green color, but no one really knew for sure. Well I found on ebay a gauge cluster from an 05'. So I bought it. I can tell you this. There are No LED's. There is about 16 small clear bulbs (Osram 12v 1.5w) and 2 larger ones. The gauges actually get there color from the backside of the numbers (they are green in color on the back and white on the front of course).

So until someone makes new face plates for the gauges we are stuck with the green.

(these are the bulbs)

Question Re: Dash Color... Can it be changed?

hey maybe you could find just the right can of spray paint, like one that will spray a slight tint, not solid. spraying the back side of your ebay lenses taped off. just a thought, I've never had one apart so I don't know what your working with.

looks like a PC194 (PC as in for PC board socket)... we can change the color to blue real easy... look at the SRT-4 forums, they converted theirs to blue from the same green...
