Default strakes

I read the question in the search section about removing the strakes. One member said that they were held on with double faced tape. It was never confirmed though. Has anyone taken them off and put them back on. I don't want to start pulling on them and screw something up. Any info appreciated, Thanks

I checked this out on my wrecked roadster and there is definitely more than tape, there are tabs and I broke a couple pulling on the strake (which was already smashed). So, there must be a better method than just pulling. I plan to have mine painted so I need to figure this out.

MikeR has taken his off and put them back on again. He's posted before saying that you have to take them off very slowly being careful not to break the two tabs. There is also some sticky tape on the back side.

I had mine loosen up on the one side. Tried Gorilla glue and they are on tight now. There was the tab referenced so I just dabbed asmall amount on with a toothpick and they are on there.
