Default ** Philips HID Kit** Worth the Extra Money?

I am looking at investing in an Hid Kit. I originally was going for McCulloch because they were priced right around $300 dollars on ebay, but I started to research and heard the actual components were made out of like india or something and their quality wasn't the greatest. I am now leaning towards spending an extra $100 dollars and going with phillips. Would this be a wise decision or a waste of money?

phillips makes oem kits only originally which was a DS2 bulb for most cars ... plenty of kit makers claim to take ds2 phillips bulbs and rebase them for your application ...

the phillips bulb has stricter quality control and should go for 5 years ... most other kits will last about 3 - 4 ... but make sure the ballasts are a well know brand cause thats what will die on you sooner than the bulb.

i agree with above post as far as mculloch kits ... excellent quality ...
