Default HID Problem

Ok, so I installed the driver side HID lamp today and it looks like it is pointed to low. I installed the bulb the same direction as the old one that came out. The clip looks to be in properly, I'm not even sure you can put that thing on wrong. Do you think the bulb is upside down? Does anyone know whether the support metal on the actual bulb is closer to the ground or not?

the bulb is not fully seated ... a common issue when changing bulbs...

seems as if its in place but most likely isn't. it can be very hard to see (done by feel)... but remove the bulb and try to re-install it.

cheers!

I just did the same thing last week, the drivers bulb was too low and the passenger bulb was pointing up & to the right. Took the mount and reseated them and now all is good. But these bulbs sure are a PITA.

Wow they must be. Right now I have only one in because I wasn't sure if something was wrong. I'll attempt this again after work and post an update.

OK, so one on the bulbs got stuck in the headlight but with the help of a friend with really big pliers I got it out. The bulbs are installed and point correctly on the road. I purchased 6,000k which is a little too blue for me, I may just buy 4,300k bulbs instead. They are a huge improvement over the stock bulbs though.

I have the McCulloch 6,000k kit, I also think the lights are a little too blue, I was wondering if I could just replace the bulbs with the 4,300K or 5,000k or do I have to buy a whole kit to do this?
Even at 6,000k I can see a lot better, probably will never have to use the high beam setting.

~ yes... you can just buy the bulbs to make the needed color (k) change.

This question has been on my mind lately as well. Do you have a good source for just the bulbs? I was thinking about preemptively ordering a replacement bulb to have on hand few when one blows.

I got mine from HIDKING on Ebay... They work pretty good. But I wonder if they are not as bright as say Phillips or McCulloch. I always see other cars with HID and some seem unbelievably bright, still the 6k color but way brighter then mine. =(
