Default Panic Button on my remote/Security System

Since mine doesn't seem to operate properly I need to ask?

When I push the panic button I hear the horn try to engage,,,, but no noise.

Why would it be disconnected or has this been a problem on the Xfire?

I bought my car with 9K miles on it. Everything else seems to work fine.

Thanks

The red panic button actually triggers a siren and not the car horn and it is very loud.
Not sure of any problems though.

It sounds like a relay or the siren itself. Is your car still under warranty?

I'd have the dealer look at it. Does the alarm work if you lock the doors and try to open it with the inside handle.

I have only seen one problem with the theft system, and it was the siren. Pretty easy to diagnose. The dealer can actually change it so you horn beeps instead of the siren, if you like that option better.

The siren was replaced under warranty, now 3 short beep/chirps and the lights flash 3 times when I set the alarm.

On disarm it beep/chirps 1 time.

Hmmm, my panic alarm works but I don't get the chirp when I lock the car. Did the Radio Shack mod but didn't really like it.
