Re: angel eyes?
keep an eye out on my thread i am doing a retrofit and while in there having angle eyes fitted as well they will be CCFL 6000k.
the guy i am using for a retrofit sent me this email about the eye's
"As for the angle eyes. I measured the diameter on the high and low beam, which comes to 120m (high beam), and 125m for the low beam. M stands for millimeter. That size angle eyes, I only have them in 6000k. Check the attached picture of comparing the 6000k angle eyes vs. 4300k angles eyes (half circle). 4300k are pure white, and 6000k blue/white. The blue angle eyes are rated around 10000k -12000k. Let me know if you are ok with 6000k angle eyes."
i choose 6000k full circle for all for projectors

Hi Faiz23
Cool , So will the rings fit around the main chrome projector & sort of fit at the top of the groove . Could you ask your man what sort of temps he will be cooking your lamp to get the lens off , I have been told you have to cut the lens off but not sure if that is correct , the sizes of rings 120mm & 125mm ( you use 'mm' for millimeters one 'm' is for meter its a euro thing ) is that the size of the projectors or the size of the rings ,
Sorry about the questions
Cheers

Re: angel eyes?
there is no cooking of the light you have to cut them open here are the emails between me and the retrofitter.
"As for the sealant. I can not use the Rubber Butyl ( the sealant that melts when heated), because I had to cut them open, and the Rubber sealant will not hold the headligts lens to the housing. I will use the same sealant that the headlights came with, which is Polyurethane."
"Here is the link to the CCFL angle eyes from our website, except the ones that are on the website are 95mm, and the ones that I am installing on your headlights are 125mm."
http://www.izntrbl.com/white-ccfl-co...tml?cPath=5_13
"I will cut right at the place where the headlight lens meats with the housing. In other words it will seal like original, and the headlights will not fog up, or look out of place.
I have a set of TL, S2000, RX330, and SC430 projectors that I can try them on your headlights."
if you need the info for the retrofitter to send your lights to get them modded pm me and i can get you in touch.

Re: angel eyes?
i am sure he would ship to uk as long as you pay the shipping fees.
doing it your self is not a bad idea if all you are doing is putting on angel eyes. if you are wanting to do some retrofitting of new projectors that is where it gets tough.
my main reason for opening the lights was do retrofit better HID projectors which will properly utilize all the light and spread it on the road evenly.
while in there i wanted to see the possibility of adding led strip or angel eyes. led strip is not reliable and the leds die out over time. i am not wanting to open these lights up again and again to replace the strip. angel eyes were a better solution and look nice since we already have quad projectors.
now call my crazy but i am not as excited about the angel eyes as i am about retrofitting another set of projectors. i am gonna have a quad projector setup like stock but on low beam i will have Acura TL Bi-Xenon and high beams will be using lexus rx330 projectors. I will be using all 4 projectors as low beam and use the tl as a high/low to get that extra light. i will finish it off with some 3000k hid in the stock foglight.

Hi faiz23
Now thats got to be better than the stock setup , Im still using normal H7 bulbs but the 100W power not 55W , They make alot more light , I will move over to HID setup some time in the furture as i do not do alot of night time driving its low down on my hit list , Angel eyes being the top .
Emailed your man waiting for a reply .
Cheers

Hi Faiz23
Here's some pictures of my mockup Angel eyes , Not 100% happy yet but getting there , The rings are just sticky padded on at the moment , thinking of grinding a flat on top of the chrome pointly rings just to keep the same heights & give the ring a better seating . In the last picture the ring are not completely light up , As you can see i have tried body colour for the back plate top good out of the car not sure when installed & it gives a purple glow .
Cheers

Thanks I did them myself, it wasn't quite as bad as i thought is was goin to be.
They are really bright, the pics dont show it but they light up the ridges on the projector housing, which i think gives it a pretty neat effect. the headlights are still just a stock style light so i need to get some that match the rings and a corner lights that match its in the garage for the winter so theres plenty of time to get everything right.
Re: angel eyes?
I'm having some custom work done on my headlights.
Here is a sneak peak at some tests, so far.

Let me know what you think.
Should have a finalized version in a couple weeks.

When this is done, I am considering something for the taillights also.
