Exterior Bulb Failure
Help. re: '04 Crossfire. A warning light came on my dash. "Exterior Bulb Failure" My wife and I checked every exterior bulb we could think of. None were out. This included turn signals, reverse, parking, everything. I read what my owners manual(pg. 92) had to say. I looked in my shop manual on CD. I've spent just short of two hours looking for this bulb failure. Any ideas? Thanks!

Yep, even the eyebrows. And even thogh it probably has nothing to do with it, I checked all the interior lights. So this morning, after sleeping on it, 'm starting all over.
I expect electrical gremlins from my Spitfire but this has me stumped. Oh well, everything looks better after a cup of coffee!

SOLVED! First, thanks for all your help. After checking and re-checking all the bulbs and finding nothing my wife and I ran some errands. A guy pulls up and says that my left rear tail light is out. I pull over and we check it. It's fine and continue driving until someone else points it out. Pull over again and this time pull the bulb. Here is the fun part.....the bulb is slightly blackened and the filament in the bulb is broken in such a way that when the car is not moving the light works fine. But when underway and with the vibrations it doesn't work. Put the bulb back in...worked fine, drove it a bit...doesn't work. Now another question. It calls for a Phillips(but any brand will do) but it needs a "P21/5W. My auto parts store has several Phillips but none like this. They only have the American #, like 1157 or 2057, etc. They had no cross reference nor did my manuals. Any ideas as to the proper ones?

It's the Sticky right above the "Exterior & Lighting" section.

I have had my car for about 3 months and since last week it has been doing something similar, except mine does it only when none of the lights are on, when I switch the lights on at night the indicator turns off. It doesn't always do it. It does it for a day or two and stops for a few days. All bulbs are working even inside.
Does anyone have a clue what this might be?
I also heard some sort of noise under the center console before this happend, like a short or something. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
This is my first comment here and I searched everywhere with out luck.
Thanks in advance!
