Headlight Out
I have a headlight out on my 2004 Crossfire. Do I need to take it in to replace it or is this something that I can do fairly easily myself? Also, if I take it in to be done, how much can I expect to pay? Should I take it to a Chrysler dealership or can any automotive place do it?
It's up to you. Low beam I assume. Passenger side is EXTREMELY difficult to replace. I dropped the pin/clip that holds bulb in socket somewhere down there. Could not retreive. I now have a pc of cardboard attempting to hold bulb in place. There is a thread on here somewhere. Several say the driver side is easier (better access).
You can pull the overflow tank loose to give yourself more room on the passenger side. Its just two nuts and a ggod tug to get it out of the grommet underneath. Good luck.

Driver side is RIDICULOUSLY easier. There is MUCH MUCH more more. Passenger side isn't bad, but difficult for the first time.
It's easy enough to do it.. if it's a low beam, you need an H7 bulb.. I think they're ~10$ or so.
Stay tuned in the next 30mins to an hour.. I'm going to put up a guide on how to install HID's with pictures.. which will basically cover on how to take the bulb out.. and putting in the new OEM bulbs will virtually be the same.. but easier..
Easiest way to get it replaced is to get a cute girl dressed "really" nice to go into Autozone and tell one of the guy's that her headlight is out and she has no idea how to replace it.
If it's like the AZ's where I have worked they will fall all over themselves to fix it. We had one guy that would almost do a complete rebuild for anything with a skirt!
You can stand in the background, around the corner or whatever, just don't let the AZ guy know it's your car!

Bump..
I know this thread is a bit old but I just replaced both lowbeams myself after one went out, and wanted to share my experience for anyone who is worried that this is hard and considering paying the dealership anything to do this. I did this in the driveway with no tools other than my fingers. I took the rubber covers off the back of both lowbeams. I pulled the plugs off the old bulbs. I pushed the retaining spring clips in and over with my index finger and swung them out of the way. I will grant it's a bit tough but unless you have really delicate fingers it's not that hard. Space is also a bit tight on the passenger side with the tank that is there but not impossible. I pulled the old bulbs out noting that the tab was pointing down. I inserted the new bulbs making sure the tabs were also down and that they set firmly into the socket. I pushed the retaining spring clip in and back over to hold bulb in place, making sure the bulb didn't move from being set. I plugged the wires back in and replaced the covers. I started the car and turned on the my new sliverstar bulbs and all looks good. I took maybe 30 minutes and if I had to do it again knowing how to do it for sure I'd guess it would take maybe 10 minutes.

Yeah, I took the car over to Sears and asked them if they could do it. The guy cringed when he said it would cost $35. I almost laughed. Then they replaced the sidelight and brakelight - all for $64. I watched the guy while he did it outside in the parking lot and I really didn't get where the expense came from - like with most things where this car is concerned (sorry, I've developed an attitude). Chrysler wanted to charge $200 for the 3 lights. What a joke.

The only hard part I found was pulling the overflow tank. Ended up using some robogrips, and lifting on the barb that seats in to the grommet. I tried for a while to just pull it up and out, but couldnt get a very good grip on it, and your in an akward position to do this. But replaced low beams and fogs with hid's in a couple of hours. chris
