Condensation in my Headlight
So I was outside washing my car today and I was half way through when I noticed that my headlights looked to have a white film on them. I went to wipe it off only to find out that it was condensation on the inside of my headlight
. I let it sit for a while hoping it was going to go away but so far it hasn''t. And even if it does go away I know its going to come back. Would it have anything to do with me washing the car in the cold weather would it, it is like 50 something today. Or could it have anything to do with the way I installed my HID's? (I kinda just squeezed the dust covers back on) So is there anything I can do or if not do you think the dealer would cover that?
Thanks a lot for the quick reply. What puzzles me is my headlights are less than a year old, I had the dealer replace the ones in the car, which were hazy, with new ones when I bought it. So what I'm wondering is, am I going to have to have them fix it every 8 or 9 months or are they able to successfully fix the problem? Is it a headlight replacement or just a fix? And do you think they're gonna give me problems since I installed the HID's? Thanks Brandon

(1 week old headlights replaced under warranty, put in my HID's and condensation came, took them out, condensation went away, put them back in and fixed the cap and all is good..)
hmmmm I'm hesitant to take those dam HID's out because of how hard it was to put in. put me through hell. Is that cap really expected to make a seal? I figured it was just for dust not for condensation issues, but thought I would mention it anyway just in case. I would think it would be an issue with the headlights themsevles due to all the previous problems and the TSB that is out on them. Just wanna make sure before I take them out, it really was a ***** putting them in, almost gave up lol.
