Default What is the best performance chip?

I am new to the Crossfire Forum.. so I am going to appologize because I am sure someone has answered this question but I couldn't find it. What is the best performance chip for an 05" Chrysler Crossfire Roadster? Does the chip actually work or is it just something for people to waste their money on? What are it's stats for improvement. My car is all stock except a Borla exhaust.

God. Photoman your cynicism brightens my day everytime I see it. It makes me feel I'm just a LITTLE better of a person each time. Haha. Just razzin.

To answer the question...you don't "chip" these cars, thus photoman's (deserved) cynicism. Search for "ECU" and start reading. In this vehicle you'd be looking at shipping your ECU out to someone like LET, TVT, Inmotion, and the like, and life would be good. As far as what's best...an ECU tune can only be done so well without dyno work, so you'll just have to ask around.

Also, check out the TVT 250, 265, and 265+ kits, they're just wonderful .

oh and how does the borla sound?

'T'ain't no such thing as chips for this car! Any 'chips' you can buy are completely worthless so save up your pennies to get a real tune.
As Brian states above you'll need to pull the ECU board, send it away to get it flashed & reinstall it.

I have a bag of salt and vinegar chips on my passenger front seat, does that count?

There is a stripper up the road that will flash you for $10 and give you the 2nd flash (reflashing) for half off

search will turn up your answer or go to inmotiontuningusa.com
