Default McCulloch 5000k Kit

I know a lot of people here love the blue tint of HIDs but I always yearned for the 5000k bulbs. Well, I just got my McCulloch 5000k kit yesterday and installed them and wow are they sooo much better than the 6000k kit I used to have on my other Xfire. The 6000k seemed too blue and the edge of the beam on the road has a purplish tinge to it, something that I didn't like. The 5000k is pure white on the road and look awesome in the projector (just a faint tint of blue in some angles).

I'll get some pictures at night of how well the beam shines tonight if I can find my camera

I prefer the bright white over the blue-ish tint.

Where'd you get them and at what price?

Could you help me out and take a pic at night against a wall to see your alignment as well? I'm currently tracking a neighboring tread on alignment but would love to see yours.

Thanks

I had the 6000k kit and yes, it was too blue. But not blue enough for me to buy new bulbs. One burnt out and now I have 5000k, yes, they are that much better!

If i have to buy new bulbs I am going to go with 4300k. My 5000k still seem like they have a bluish glow, but not much AT all. I don't think i'd used pure white, but then McCulloch vs my eBay china HID's might have somethign to do with it.

I'm running chinese/USA shipped eBay specials for lows and fogs. Asked for 4300K, received 5000K (sticker on the bulb jar) for both. They have a tinge of blue when statred, but are intense white after ~30 seconds. Not even a hint of blue from any angle.

Sure makes driving at night nicer.

I'll take some tonight. I got mine set in correctly on the first shot so I didn't adjust the factory setting. I might move the lights down slightly

I got them at xenonking for $280 and they got here instantly, like 2 days for free shipping.
