Default CROSSFIRE lettering

I have a set of CROSSFIRE letters off of the rear hatch. Obviously they need new double face tape on them to be reinstalled on a toolbox surface.

If anyone has reinstalled the lettering, give me some ideas on how best to go about this. What material? Keeping the letters perfectly spaced and level? Any tips would be greatful before I do it.

James

Buy a new set and they come pre spaced out with new two sided tape already installed.....................or take a razor blade to your old letters, reaffix 3M tape and break out the old measuring tape for individual letter install/spacing.

Wink Re: CROSSFIRE lettering

Greetings:

I would you use a strip of tape to give you the line that the letters go above. Sorta like the wide notebooks lines in school to guide you,

THen mark the centerline of each letter on the guide line to make it easy for you.

I have a black srt so I added letters using black RTV cause I could reposition and such. ONe side tape is hard to cut to size and is a one time stick situation, thats tough.

Careful RTV will be solid, gluing is set in 24 hours and you can remove and redue it again and again.

DOing this stuff is best when you can go back and do it better the second time, if you change your mind. DOnt use hard type of glue....

Enjoy, Woody..........
