I want to paint that plastic panel that's under my spoiler. What colors could I get away with? My vehicle is black, and I'm going to get that OEM underbody kit that wrap around the exhaust and paint it a matching color to whatever I paint this panel. I'm thinking either: black (boring, but probably the best idea), chrome (would match those strips on the grill, metallic (would match the OEM strakes (whiskers) on the side of the car).

I think the black would look good but silver may look good as well, I do not think the chrome would be as attractive, just my $0.02

My car is all black as well and it is completely debadged (not even the chrysler wings survived) so when the spoiler pops, I have the nice silver with black outline KARMANN decal under it, the only badging or decal on the whole car, and I think it looks great.

Just for info, it isn't plastic. It's metal. This was verified by using a magnet in another thread. You can also see the outline of some of the spot welds.

Meh. I went ahead and did it. Looks fantastic - especially once I get those things next to the exhaust.

 

It looks like the factory forgot to paint that part in the pic..........but to each his own.

I would put a black decal lettering that said "F#$K OFF" and when someone cuts me off on the road I would return the favor and then raise the spoiler. LOL, that would be classic.

 

Ha. It looks better than my 2mp Blackberry can give it justice. In any case, I think that black like the rest of the car would have just been a little too boring for my taste, and any other color wouldn't have matched since I don't have any colors. Oh well, something unique.
