In the meantime, that tint stays (even though TX law states 35% only....)
you can call any tint shop they can remove it
it cost me 80 bucks for my parents 08 camry to strip 5% off the 2 front windows and replace with 35%.
same places charges $150 for a full tint and $200 for trucks

Reading some of the posts here....I have to chuckle....cause I'm one of the "men" you guys are talking about. Let me tell ya' a lil secret...yes, too dark of a tint is a citable infraction, however, most don't stop merely for a tint violation. If you're doing 85 in the 55 and you're really nice....the tint ticket is a favor in lieu of a hefty speeding ticket. So worry less about the tint you have on and more about hiding places we can find...lol. In reference to tint removal, a hefty dose of windex and getting a loose corner helps tremendously. You have no idea how fast the tint comes off when you let people know it's actually a fix-it ticket here in NY.
I knew the long arm of the law would invade the thread J/K LOL
Yes, the tint film comes off very easy, usually the glue is another story. The windex helps because it has amonia in it, this is why you should NEVER use windex or any similar product with amonia to clean your tint - it will fade.

Usa a non-anomia based cleaner, even windex makes one.
I would use the same things you use on the finish of your car - microfiber, anything else has the possibility of micro-scratching your film, especially cheap paper toweling...
Just my .02

There's a tint remover spray they make/sell. And Goo Gone works for gummy stuff. It's kind of oily, though, but effective.
And by the way, there's got to be something wrong with grown men hiding in the bushes for a living....

Having an actual tinter do the film is the only way, it took me nearly 3 hours to get all mine to correctly lay down and tuck the edges in, and I used to work in a tint shop LOL. They will only look good with the right person doing them to get all the moisture and crap from underneath. Good luck, post some pics.

and i can see just fine out of my windows at night... or at least i think i can..
When I moved to Maryland from California the tint I had would not pass their inspection.
I took the car to a tint shop to have it removed. Since it had been on the car for a number of years, it did damage some of the rear defroster lines/wires in the back. So I ended up with some of defrost area not functioning. Make sure whoever does this. Takes their time in doing the back window.
Good Luck,
