Re: Windshield surround and side strakes
I love the silver carbon on strakes and window surround...
But my only adjustment would be on the windshield lettering... I might would've gone with flat silver in a slightly less-gaudy font. The reason? Once people see the same pattern CF on the windshield stickers, they'll immediately think the strakes/surround are suspect. Whereas if it weren't for the lettering, they might not be apt to scrutinize the rest of the CF and it would fool way more people.
A minor thing, but a thing. But the work itself is fantastic! Major props.

Re: Windshield surround and side strakes
You have to go in through the wheel wells and pinch the clips that hold them in place, there are 3 for each, and don't forget to run fishing line along the strake where it is stuck down to the paint. Also on the passenger side there is the washer fluid bottle inside the fender, that has 1 screw holding it in place, it then slides right out, once you release the coupler from the bottle to the fill tube. Its rather easy but takes a little time I just removed my front tires and the rest was easy.

Re: Windshield surround and side strakes
You dont have to go in from behind to get the strakes off. Warm them up witha a hair dryer or heat gun, not too warm, use fishing line to work through the adhesive on the pointy end of the strake. One at a time. Best to put a piece of paper of something under afte your done and then do the next. Starting at the top, lift up on the back end of the strake and use a credit card to push the bottom and then top of the clip holding the strake to the body. Then do the next and the next. Again, it would be good to put something under each strake as you go so it dosent pop back in. There is adhesive under the black portion too, but mine just pull off. The front of the strakes have 'pins' the fit into holes on the body, that is why you start at the back end. They do not latch, just slide in and out. Have fun..

My real end game is to fill the holes and finish the area and repaint - no strakes at all - like Ichon. I think this is simply the cleanest look around....
