The company does not deal with individual orders or house shippments unless for the purchase of inventory. In our case, a bulk buy represents the same type of revenue they bring with online and local performance part suppliers. We would receive the bulk buy units and be responsible for distribution of the product. The units would be delivered on a pallet. That's why the company can guarantee the product will not be damaged upon arrival. It's cheaper for a major parts supplier to send one shipment, instead of managing multiple deliveries.

Thanks
Med

Is there an estimate how much these hoods will cost?

So if all goes well with the test fit I know u had mentioned $700 if 20 orders are placed. Is that the exact figure we are looking at it and how many people are in for one?

I'm down for a new hood.

The final price offered below was based on the different design issues that were faced, the material to be used including labor rates for producing 20+ hoods, and the bulk buy freight shipping cost. The final price was set at $999 plus shipping and tax to cover all bulk buy expenses. Obviously shipping from Saint Louis will vary depending on location.(So be my guest and pick it up) We did ok negotiating price breaks... The prices below pend successful Qual testing.

Bulk Buy Hoods < 20 units = $1299
Bulk Buy Hoods > 20 units = $999
Bulk Buy Hoods > 40+ units = $899
CF front emblem > 20 units = $75

We will get the official bulk buy started after Qual!

We will work our best to get all questions answered.
I’ve just finished responding to PM’s... Good night...

BTW... I have a list of people that have asked for the DHL F**up!
So if anyone falls off, I will contact you. Besides that, let us get a chance to see it on the car 1st, so that I can feel happy about the new one I will get in the bulk buy

well, i will definitely come pick up the cracked one. I have a few guys that are really good at CF repair.

im 200% serious about it

and what mad med is trying to say, is basically he's cutting out the retailer middle man. These are the guys that do the leg work for the hood sellers you see around, vis, etc. He's basically acting as a "shop" but he doesnt have the capital to order 20+ hoods, so he is doing us a favor by basically working a deal with these guys, where we order 20 hoods and they sell to him like he is a shop, drop shipping from their place to us

I have always though those looked great on your car, but I was under the impression you had your OEM surrounds coated. I know it is a much more involved process, but in essence, you were adding to the OEM, not creating something new, correct??

In essence, yes.

It's a process called hydrographics...

The only thing it "adds" is visual character... no weight addition worth mentioning. To wit, carrying around a textbook in your seat would have more of a weight detriment than ten of these surrounds.

OEM isn't necessarily a bad thing... guaranteed fit and finish.

The only thing that ever gives me the creeps about custom parts (in general) is the lack of scrutinized production QA.

My job requires me to reject hundreds of thousands of dollars in parts every month... rejections can be over the slightest wiggle in body line.

Not at all suggesting that these hoods would be anything less than stellar...

That is correct. It is the hydrographic process. It is synthetic and strictly for looks. Treat it like a paint finish and it is extremely durable. It is NOT vinyl as another suggested. I don't expect it to be everyone's taste, but I think it looks great.

+1 def looks great. I know I have seen prices around here, but if you don't mind responding, how bad is it to have all three pieces done and how quick is the turn around time? Thanks.

One of my SRT6 friends insurance paid something like 1800 for a new hood painted to match after a tree branch fell on it

I paid to much for the Crossfire OEM hood that I sent to them! But O 'well
+ I also had to pay to ship the stock hood., + developmental fees and prototype shipping fees!

All in all, I'm flat out broke!!! $ < I think the only reason I was able to get away with this was because I got engaged on Sept 24, the same time I started this project. As a result, the "We have to make decisions together Bill" had not been mentally signed yet in her head, and the hood was seen as a project I already had.

Half Day Guys!!!

I don't want to hijack the thread, Mad_Med05X has spent a lot of time and money (and a great job). I will send you a PM.
