Ditto. Can't wait to get it even though I don't have a car to put it on at the moment.

I don't know what to do. So many parts I want and so little income. One mod at a time Les, one at a time.

Rudy-If you decide in the future it's got to go, I want first dibs on it. Who would have guessed you would sell your crossfire.

Has anyone thought about a replacement hood lift ? I believe the stock one is to strong for our new light weight custom vented carbon fiber hood. I've heard some stories and I dont want to break my precious.

Pffft, I saw the sarcastic smiley. That means you didn't really call dibs. Haha. Kidding. I'll wait patiently in line.

Bryan,

As soon as I get the Chicago ETA, I'll work with you to coordinate a pick up time and location.

Soooo,When these carbon fiber hoods finally reach your door steps... Anyone out east willing to sell their Aero Blue stock hood? When you guys remove your stock hood, dont stand it up on it's back corners(Hinge area backside). The corner tips are single wall and will easily bend. Squirrel Crusher

I have been following this thread and missed that they were being made outside of the US.
Where were they made?
My guess is China.

So, is that only restricted to Wal-Mart?

Come-on 180, it could be Mexico as well. But why does it matter?

No it does not matter, I was just curious. I thought a guy in one of the pictures looked Asian and the windows in the plant are not a North American style.
I could not see any Chinese writing anywhere but the further they travel the more chance of damage.

lol, when have I not seen an Asian person in pictures working with after market parts?
The US company never provided their supplier information. As far as shipping, it's much safer to insure and transport goods on a pallet.

I tend to agree with you. The pictures were not very good. It looks like he posted better pictures but I am not all that impressed with the hood. Not to be a downer but it looks real similar to the stock hood and doesn't do much for me. Maybe I have to see it in person...

Well I guess that's what your going to have to do. BTw...Similar to the stock hood is pretty hard to believe.

Thanks,

I wanted to know where they were made because I know that often when you ship some tooling to some places in the far east they often make a few for themselves and then sell them at a reduced price.
The actual customer sometimes buys some of the 'extra' parts because they are a bargain even when he's mad over the pirated parts.
I know one case in particular in great detail.
Letting the tooling go in these cases can lead to a market swamped with parts.
Just saying.
