function over form. it might look cool but it doesnt really do ****.

tburr - I think your car is the second coolest I have seen, next to SRT SIX's, love both of 'em.
Vertical doors look awesome on these cars, I think.
And you have done a great job with all of the mods you have made.
IMO.

tburris, I wasn't directing my comments at you directly, so sorry if it came off that way. Its just a modification that isn't quite my taste. Its your car, if you are happy with it, thats all that matters.
So again, my apologies.
So again, my apologies.
Awesome tburris, I like the 'lambo' doors on most 2-door cars. I just hate it when people put them on the front doors of sedans or SUVs... But your car looks incredible with them, I might just have to think about doing it myself in the future.

I do agree about sedans and SUVs.

Two weeks ago I had my daughters Lambo doors put back to normal doors. The lambo doors looked great and it is easier to get in and out of the SRT, but the doors are very heavy and you could not vallet the car or let anyone else drive it other then me or Ashley. Not even the wife.
They can get heavy. I had my shocks adjusted to help some. My wife also has issues with them, but on the bright side, I get to be a gentleman and she doesn't drive it! LOL

But all was not lost. Because once Sam reached adulthood, it appeared the old man seemed to be grasping things better and eventualy became a source of wisdom.
There is hope for us old geysers.
Infinite does know it all.
I'm sure many of us will get smarter once he gets a little older. I'm with ERZER. I would love to do this for no other reason than easier egress. It has nothing to do with age or clumsy. The ladies would like not to look like a pregnant, clumsy, goose when they exit.
Has nothing to do with parking skills either. This is particularly true as your skills matter not a twit when someone else parks next to you. Or if the garage is a little narrow.
But, for me, the cost is prohibitive for the benefit.
As one becomes older and more worthless, he has to be careful with their money. I spend mine on cars, whiskey and women. Mostly waste the rest.

I have not seen a XFire in person that has gone vertical, but every time a see a pic of one, the first thing I think of is....... The vert doors look so natural on the Crossfire, it seems as though it should have come from the factory that way. Most cars that have vert doors (aftermarket), look like they just do not belong on the car, not the case IMO on the Crossies. If I lived close enough to Vertical doors Inc., I would do it in a heartbeat.
