Default Rear Hatch Won't Open

Hey guys,

I own a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. When I bought it, the back hatch rattled pretty bad, but I just got use to it. Then, one day to my surprise, the rattle was gone. I was relieved until the next time I went to open the hatch. Pulled the hatch button.....an nothing.

Does anyone know how to fix this? or even how to get into the hatch? I unfortunately have to sell my car due to having a new baby. I'm excited to have a son, but sad to see my baby go!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't think that will work. My latch doesn't feel like its pulling on anything. Its very flimsy. Could the cable have come off the latch?

The issue in that problem was for a vert but hopefully it will help you. The rattle problem you had was covered by a TSB, but there is a simple fix with electrical tape. The two problems are most likely not related.

Congrats on the baby boy!
