Easiest way to replace headlight bulb?
Easiest way to replace headlight bulb?
Hey guys!
I just got the little led reminder that my headlight (left side) is not working. I'm going on a little weekend trip to Miami tomorrow so I would love to get that fixed real quick before I leave. Where do I get the bulb and what's the easiest way to fix this without breaking anything or taking 5 hours to figure it out myself lol.
Thanks for any input guys!

Re: Easiest way to replace headlight bulb?
hi / lo , either side is H7 bulb, pick up at any parts place, AutoZone, Advance, NAPA, O'Reilleys.
Drivers side : easy
Passenger side : remove coolant overflow tank ( just remove sensor plug, 2 10 mm nuts and you might have to use something to pry the nubbie thing molded in the bottom off the rubber grommet - set it on the engine leaving the hose connected.
Now, as to the bulb : there is a spring clip holding the bulbs in place, it notches into the housing.
0. remove the rubber cap on the bad bulb.
1. unplug the bulb connector ( needle nose pliers and some rocking motion should get this done )
2. unlatch the spring and remove the old bulb, notice if the little indentation is facing up or down.
3. install new bulb, little indentation fits into notch ( top or bottom ).
4. latch the spring back in place
5. put wiring plug back on.
6. snap rubber cap on.
IF LIGHT PATTERN IS WAAAAAY BAD, THEN FIDDLE WITH THE BULB BY ROTATING IT A BIT USING THE WIRING PLUG, YOU SHOULD FEEL IT SNAP INTO PLACE, OTHERWISE YOU ARE DONE !
Passenger side : put a little WD40 on the tank nubbie and it will pop right back into the grommet, put the 2 10 mm nuts back on, then the sensor plug.
