Look at the bumper in the bottom picture and not the bumpers in the top picture and you'll be OK.

This is the one..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Urethane-99-00-Honda-Civic-EK-Hatchback-Body-Kit-CTR-Front-Bumper-PU-Lip-/321132183692?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ac4f8408c
I wonder though how well the one with the ducts would work out. "should" be doable since the main issue is distance around the bumper on these. Notice on the one in the link there is no flange along the top edge in the middle... some have this which would not work out too well.

Here's my $35 lip wrapped in cf vinyl.

20130826_135131_zps72ef72f0.jpg

I cut a v shape in the bottom center and also tapered out the ends on the bottom to sit much more flush to the bumper. The first comment made was that it looks like an OEM fit, not aftermarket. I think tappering those ends made it flow into the sides of the car a lot better. I'm still not sure of whether or not I like it enough to keep it on there, though.

Looks good!

Can you please post of photo of the car from the side and then looking into the wheel well where it mounts?

I do not have a stake in this game but what I see as a fault is the way the lip is high in the center and falls to the sides. If it were not for that I would say it is very good looking.

I think the CF makes it stand out more as an add on piece than it would if it was color matched. That being said, pretty good look!

I completely agree, but having it painted the factory color would cost a pretty penny too. Maybe I'll have it painted sometime down the road. It does match my door sills, roof trim, and spoiler though .

Live2Drive or anyone else:

I just got my lip and do not have the foggiest idea on how to install this thing. Can someone please give some step by step instructions on just how to attach this to the car

Thanks

Just received mine and not sure how to get it to fit the way yours does in the photo. Any installation guidance would be appreciated. I hate to start cutting and then find I did it incorrectly!

First off, don't cut the lip. If you do a search for the" $5 lip" you will see many post. I wrote and I remember several doing write ups on how to install the lip. You will need a heat gun, keep it moving and on low, so you don't get it too hot. I bought a package of 3/8ths -1/2" SS large pancake head self tapping screws and a roll of 3/4" wide 3M double face tape. This is used to attach trim parts on cars. I used 3 peices of the tape about1 ft long each and installed along the inside top edge. I started about 4 inches from each end, and also put a piece on each side of the center of the lip. I wrapped the lip from one end and put screws in the part that looks like a mounting flange using the SS screws. I slowly wrapped the lip around the bumper and pulled the red facing off the 3M tape being careful to keep the lip lined up with the line on the bumper. When I made it completely around I added SS screws along the bumper bottom( one every 6-8 inches).
Find the post for the $5 lip, you should find many pics of the install.Everyone did something slightly different, but the installes are all similar.
there are many POST on this I think mine start at #160, but keep scrolling down as there are many. I did make one cut to the lip, a "V" notch in the center bottom about 3/8 to1/2" wide, it tapers from back to front most narrow.

dtinker - Thanks for the advice, I noticed in the thread that one person trimmed the lip, near the sides, for a better fit. Did I understand you correctly that you did not modify the lip and were able to heat it to fit in its original condition? Some pics I have seen show the sides ending up in different positions, anywhere from even with the crease in our bumper to somewhat below the crease. I'd like to come up into the crease, as I think it looks more like a designed fit rather than an "acceptable" aftermarket product. Thanks again!

Looks like an identical part...about $12 cheaper than the MrMiata piece...

Yep... and a good hacksaw will take that flange off the top edge in no time I'm sure..

I missed the flange, but for the difference in price, it's very easy to cut that off...
