How to black out grill/trim/vents?
Re: How to black out grill/trim/vents?
I just researched Plasti Dip and I found your thread. That definitely seems like the cheapest and easiest way to do it. I'll probably give it a try. I even saw a few people who did the entire car.
Did you use just the regular black plasti dip or the glossy one?
Thank you

To my understanding, you can get it in any black you want as long as its flat. I never saw a gloss black, or satin, or flat. Its just spray on rubber.... But, I am hoping soon to get a can of clear coat to play with and try and make it "gloss". It wont give a mirror image or anything, but it will definately be a brighter deeper black, in theory. and still be a very easy approach to a nice looking upgrade.

Used on it’s own, PLASTI DIP gives a matt finish. When F-799 is combined with touch dry PLASTIDIP, it dries to a high quality gloss finish. F-799 will also improve tensile strength, abrasion, block resistance and overall durability.
