Default 6 Headlights in 2 months!!!

I've burned through 6 brand new headlights in just about two months. Has anybody else had this problem and know what's wrong?? Also yesterday while I was driving to work my alarm started going off while I was driving, any help on this?

First the Headlights. That sucks! I hate changing these lights. are you wearing gloves when You instal the Bulbs? It's probably a short somewhere. Although Second when the Battery ages and starts to fail these cars react in weird ways Your Alarm situatin sounds like bad battery to Me and that might cause the light to fail especially if You are touching the bulbs with Your fingers.

Just a couple of thoughts.

Good luck,
Herman.

The alarm could be the battery, most likely the siren has failed though.

What bulbs are you using? Cheap ones may just be shoddily made. Bad contacts can cause bulbs to fail due to intermittent on and off as the current goes through them. Too much voltage would probably make other bulbs fail as well. Some of these higher output bulbs do not last as long as other normal bulbs, Sylvania Silver Stars are problems with short lives it seems. Touching the glass on bulbs can cause the glass to shatter, but you did not mention that as the problem.

I've been using Philips blue vision bulbs. The first set I ever put in lasted about a year and a half but the past couple months they have been burning out. The battery is about two and a half years old, so I don't think it's that. And I'll guess I'll have to check the voltage later
