Fog Light Access Panel/Fascia Busted
I noticed the door for my passenger's side fog light access panel is missing. Upon further investigation, I realized the whole plastic area is sort of busted, making it where I couldn't just buy a replacement door. Any ideas outside of replacing the entire fascia to cover the gap?
I had the same problem. I put aluminum plates behind the plastic, drawed the plastic together and used pop rivits to hold it together. I then fabricated new doors out of aluminum sheet to mostly match the original doors and put 1 screw in it to keep it from falling out. Before final install I painted them satin black. Just to look at them you can't tell they were made by me. It took a little while to get the curves etc right but was worth it.
They require minor trimming in one spot which a 3 year old can do with a pair of scissors since they are for a slk. But they bolt on perfect and they are cheaper
