Question Hood Lift Support!

Hey, so since i bought the car the hood lift support didn't work so i was using an old broom stick and I'm just tired of that and its also embarrassing. Such a beautiful car but then a broom stick as a hood lift support? doesn't look nice. Now i was shopping at Autozone online and noticed they have a lift support but i don't know if it would actually work for the crossfire. The Autozone tech guy said i need two but from what i know, it only uses one right? here's a link for the lift support they sell. do you think it would work if i just purchase one?

Mine went out but I just use the 90° extension locked in for supporting the 45°... Push button, close hood. Open hood to 50° and slide extension pole down until it clicks... Easy fix.

At work so I don't have my links handy.. but search will pull up part numbers and a link to amazon..(recent).. Ebay about 65 bucks.. you don't need 2 unless you want one for the trunk as a spare..

If you push your hood up 90 degrees it will "click" in a tab.. then let the hood down and it will drop to app. normal open positon.. that one on ebay actually shows the release button which is located "backside" near the hood end of the support..
