Default Fog lamp switch

OK since I have not quite used up all my stupid questions yet. Here's one. When you pull out the headlight switch one click the fogs come on. If you pull it out two clicks they stay on. What is the second click for? I cant find a difference.

Oh... Ok, I would have never guessed that one. One more mystery solved for me anyways.
Thanks

Two pulls will turn a rear fog light which is an intense red light. It is mandatory in Europe. If you interested in having one, there is an empty slot in the rear driver side tail light designed for it. Mercedes started to install the rear fog lamp as early 1998. I have had 1998 Mercedes ML and currently have 2004, both have this option. It is very helpful particularly in Snow Belt states.
