Mystery hole cover A 112 014 02 33
Has anybody run into this hole cover on their Crossfire? # A 112 014 02 33
I found it on the ground under where the rear half (though toward the front) of my Crossfire was after I had the car up on ramps to look around at taking the rear fascia off.
It's referred to both as a cover and a Auto trans access cover when I googled the part number on it, my car is a stick but that may not be relevant. I went under again about a week later looking around (with a flashlight for dark corners) and could not find any hole that matched the shape.
I'd like to know if it fell out from where it should be (one retention tab was bent) or if it may be an assembly line "gift" that finally got it's freedom from wherever it was stashed.

It is from the bell housing. It is an inspection access, and it faces forward so it is best to have it in place to keep water and road grit from getting into the flywheel area.
A 112 014 02 33
The part number is 33 and 02 is the revision number.
The 112 shows the engine model.
The 014 shows it is an engine part and the 01 shows it is a stationary part.
The parts list in James1549 post shows an earlier part (01).

Yeah me too . . . and I get nothing like that.
Can you redo that search and throw the URL in here, it looks helpful.
Thanks.

Some years ago I found electronic parts catalogs for the European and US versions of the SLK32 (CLICK) and the SLK320 (CLICK) they can be found in the Documentation Collection here on this site.

It is worth looking at the collection of Crossfire information for future reference.
