Default I need a source for paint

I have bought 2 different cans of aero blue touch up spray and both have come a lot darker blue than the cars paint is.
The car is a 2008 roadster. The local dealer says the mopar paint 05140902AA is no longer sold by them.
sherwin williams said they could whip me up a pint of 68175 paint for $175. ouch.

Anyone know of a decent vendor that stocks the aero blue paint?

First off, if the cans are not completely shaken and I mean way longer than you think necessary, they will show up darker. Best bet is find a local store like "Colours:" who will mix you up a pint. They should have a gun to take a direct read from your car and they use PPG paint.

I wonder if an auto body shop would mix up some paint? I know they have those "cameras" that they lay directly on the cars body to get an exact color match. Maybe a Macco type body shop?

The colour is probably lightened by the clear coat and the exposure to the sun.

I once had a topper painted to match my pick up truck. The shop laid this "camera" type piece of equipment on the hood then again on the side panel of my truck. It completely blocked out the outside light and used its own internal light source to get a reading of the actual paint color. So even if your cars paint has faded some from its original color from the factory...the paint they painted my topper with matched the paint on my truck. I thought it was a pretty clever way of doing it.
